Q: What do you need for a Town beach, parking and dump sticker?

 

You need a current vehicle registration to get beach/parking and dump stickers, no exceptions.

 

Q: Is there municipal garbage pickup?

 

There is no municipal garbage pickup.  This is done by private carters located in the local phone book. No recommendations can be given.

 

Q: What are the Town Hall hours?

 
Town hall hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except holidays.
 

Q: Do you keep vehicle registration information on file?

 

We do not keep the records from previous years.  They are purged when the next year's stickers become available for purchase.

 

Q: When are marriage and domestic partnerships issued?

 

Marriage and Domestic Partnerships are issued from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
 

Q: When  are passport applications excepted?


Passport applications are excepted on Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m..  All persons applying for passports MUST be present including children.


Q: Does the Clerk's Office take credit card?

Credit cards are not accepted; cash or check only.

Q: How do you obtain resident beach stickers?

In order to obtain resident beach stickers, the registrations must be registered to the same address, all others are considered guests.
 

Q: Where is the nearest water park located?

 

The water park is located in Riverhead.  The carousel, Mitchell park, and ice rink are located in the Village of Greenport.


 Q: What is the local tourist information number?

 

The phone number to Tourist Information is 631-477-1383.

Q: Why can't beach and dump fees be included in the tax bill?

The beach and dump stickers can not be included with the tax bill, it is a federal law.

 
Q: Can I mail in my request for permits?

 

All permits, etc. can be obtained through the mail except marriage licenses.

Q: How do I dispose of dead animals?

For dead animals please call highway department 765-3140.
