Welcome to the Southold Town Clerk’s Office Web page. The Town Clerk’s office is responsible for most of the Town records as well as issuing the various state and local permits and licenses that are listed below. The Town Clerk’s office receives copies of minutes of all Department Public Meetings, as well as the Town Board meetings, which are usually held every other Tuesday throughout the year.

Marriage Licenses are issued at the Town Clerk’s office from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.Proof of Age and Identity are required
A person is required to establish proof of age and identity by submitting to the issuing clerk a certified copy of their “Birth Certificate” with a raised seal issued from a government agency, hospital certificates will not be accepted, and one of the following identity related documents.
