The Southold Town Recreation Department offers year-round activities, programs, special events, concerts, bus trips, educational courses, sports, etc. for residents of all ages.  The department strives to maintain and enhance the quality of life for all residents of Southold by providing park, recreation and leisure opportunities through organized programs and by acquiring, developing, maintaining, preserving, and enhancing recreation areas, open spaces, and facilities in the most cost-efficient manner.  Our staff constantly pursues excellence and dedication in providing the best possible services within resource and budgetary limits.  Quarterly brochures are published throughout the year listing all activities and programs that are being offered.

 

We believe in creating quality life-long recreation experiences for all of our residents.

The following recreational program offerings have registration through a different department and are listed as a public service to residents.  Please call the phone numbers provided in each course description for information regarding said class.

Registration is taken on a first come, first serve basis either in person at the recreation center in Peconic or by mail.  Early mail-in registrations will not be processed until 4:00 p.m. on the first day of registration.  Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Payment is required at time of registration.  Program fees will not be pro-rated.  A $20 fee will be charged for any returned check.  No refunds given less than two weeks prior to the start of the program.  Full refunds awarded if program is canceled.  No refunds given for bus trips.  Otherwise, refunds given only if a waiting list is available to provide a replacement. Participants are advised to have a complete physical prior to participating in activities that are strenuous.  All participants take part in the Southold Town recreation programs at their own risk.
