Fund Grants for Waterfront Revitalization across
New York
State.

The of Southold is pleased to announce that the Town received
another LWRP EPF grant to “Developing Priority Impaired
Waterbody and SGA Subwatershed Management Plans for Town/Jockey,
Goose, and Richmond Creek Complexes”.
This grant was prepared jointly with Laura Stephenson of the
Peconic Estuary Program spearheading the effort. The award is
for $55,000,00. A complete description of the grant follows:
Town of Southold: Developing Priority Imparied Waterbody and SGA
Subwatershed Management Plans - To advance implementation of the
Peconic Estuary Program's 2006 Subwatershed Management Plans,
the Town of Southold will develop watershed management plans for
the Town/Jockey, Goose, and Richmond Creek complexes that
address water quality impairments, closed shellfishing waters
and point and non-point pollution. Work will include watershed
assessment, identification and cost benefit analysis of
alternative management strategies, and preparation of
recommendations. $55,000.00. |
